I am so happy to hear that Ford will likely not be striking.  I think we can only take so much.  Michigan has had enough of this kind of press for at least a decade.

It seems as though those major automotive/UAW contracts will be all set for the next 4 years or so.  So everyone take a deep breath and lets get to work on making the economy rebound.  We have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. 

I have to say, Detroit has some of the biggest and brightest folks around and I am hoping to see some optimism and positive thoughts come our way.  We have certainly struggled with a changing economy and change is never easy.  But now we must focus on how to get through the change and see the light at the end of the tunnel. 

I believe in this region – I have not left the area for that reason.  I have seen many friends pick up and leave but I have also seen some of them return.  Our life is here, our family is here and our memories are here.  We have much more to give and get!
