Chrysler taking their business global

dc Chrysler has often been criticized for not having a global presence even when owned by German auto manufacturer Daimler.  Since that split there has been even more discussion about going global.

In the last couple of weeks, Chrysler has been in the news for going global.  First for outsourcing some of their IT needs to India.  A friend of mine works in the IT department at Chrysler Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, I am hoping she does not lose her job.  What is kind of ironic is she is Indian.  Hmm

The second piece of news is that Nissan and Chrysler will be producing vehicles for each other.  Nissan, a car for Chrysler and Chrysler, a truck for Nissan.

I wonder if these are the right choices in the global marketplace?  What do you think?
